Hi, this is Keith Williams, owner/operator of Cleveland Trophy Awards and Gifts in Cleveland, Mississippi. Our journey to becoming a stand-alone trophy shop has been a long one. In 1984 my wife, Martha, and I owned the local bowling center in Cleveland. I heard that the trophy shop in Cleveland was for sale, so we purchased it and moved that business into the bowling center. The two complimented each other very well. When bowling was slow, trophy sales were at their peak. As trophy sales cycled down, bowling linage would increase.

As the years went by, and I have to admit they went by all too fast, the bowling business trended downward, and the trophy business continued to expand. We have always been a family-run enterprise. It seemed like either Martha or myself were constantly at our business and our boys, Donnie, Steve, and Paul, spent their teenage years either working in the bowling center or putting together trophies. My oldest son, Donnie, still works in the trophy shop. I could not ask for a better person, and could not run the shop without him. In 2002 we hired a young man named David Wardlow to help us with the bowling center. He was a student at Delta State University and, like most student employees, we expected him to be gone in a year or less. Little did we know that we would create a long-term business and personal relationship with David and his family, and that relationship continues today.

By 2011 the writing was on the wall for the bowling center, it was only a matter of time before that portion of our business would close. So, we decided to separate the trophy shop and move it downtown. The bowling center closed in 2013, but the trophy shop was thriving at its new location. Over the next 5 years, we expanded the products and services we offer, and we upgraded our equipment, but the one thing that we have kept constant is our customer service and our efforts to build relationships with everyone that will give us the opportunity to help them with their recognition needs.

A heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one of our customers. Without you, there would be no Cleveland Trophy. Donnie, David & Keith
